Besides the rocks in the background this could very well be an image from Antartica (though I've never been there..). Good B&W version, I like the scenery, very desolate.

A delightfull b&w conversion with a balanced scala of tones.

As a conversion, this is much better to my eyes than the last image from this place. The full range of light in the image is brilliantly done. Of course, the previous image was a more dramatic composition, but you know that!

Nice to see the whole scene, but I prefer http://www.myfourthirds.com/document.php?id=8423 which I think is a lot more exciting than this one.

I'm not sure, but I wonder if the dark, upper part of the sky is a little bit too slim?

I like these pictures....but they are too bright for me....and highlights are too high...I know - these rocks are really white...:)))

thanks for all comments.

sure the 'mushroom' is much more exciting. but nature builds different scupltures and landscapes worth to show, not only the most spectacularly.

Also an impressing picture of a unreal nature. I agree with you Michael, not everything can be most spectacularly, but hterefore it is not less interesting.

I Love

the stark shadows, the darkening sky, and the off world feel about this.
