Hopefully I have amended the image in line with the suggestions.

I did this shortly after Eugene's comment.

Striking and engaging

This is an interesting composition with fractured recognisable elements that draw my eyes in. I think a couple of gentle crops could strengthen this image - take off the last vertical stripe on the right which is distracting, and pull down the top line till it just meets the apex of the first point that hasn't been clipped, if we are going for it then maybe the first stripe on the left too....... that way my eyes keep moving and discovering new stuff without getting tripped up.

I can see a nice series coming out of this one location, guess it must have been quite dark though as the grain gives away the 800 ISO rating. I'd like to see more !

ps. there's a connection here to your ' 2 hours of flushing ' compositions. I'm not going to rate yet as I've just joined and haven't got my head round the numbers bit yet !

Thanks for the comment

Tim and welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I do!

The only playing I did was a slight correction of verticals.

I confess that the ISO800 was due to not taking the trouble to go to the room and get the tripod (Forgive me Edwin!) which I lugged to and from the UK and I don't think I used it!

Confusingly GOOD abstract! Very effective in drawing attention IMO. A little denoise & USM might do the trick!

I agree with Tim on the areas to crop. Welcome to MFT Tim. :-)

Thats a cool abstract shot Rex. I like it as it is. There's lots to ponder and lose oneself in for a while.

Cropping

looking stronger I think Rex ..........what do you think about that thin dark sliver on the far left ?
