Croatia: When do we meet up?
The first poll, which can be found here http://www.myfourthirds.com/document.php?id=6483&class=Poll overwhelmingly endorses Croatia as a place to meet and thanks to everyone who took part and helped with gathering information. Mario made a plea for end August/Sept. Yvonne made a plea to avoid 5-18 Sept. These are links for info re weather/temps - http://traveleshop.com/weather/zagw.shtml - http://www.eurobeaches.com/croatia/crtemps.htm - in order to aid decisions re heat etc and photo ops. I'm sure there are others as well. Flights usually arrive in on Saturdays, occasionally Sundays so I have identified the following dates based on Saturdays. Take your pick and feel free to comment. We still have to pick a location. If we're gonna meet we should be reasonably near at hand to each other. I favour Istria in view of info shared so far. I may or may not be able to log on during the week owing to unpredictable computer nasties problems getting onto the internet. I hope we can find a time to suit most. If your work, family and other committments mean you can be flexible, please indicate this by way of comment. Some people expressed interest in an earlier meeting. That can be subject of another poll.

Our Wedding Anniversary
is that week (1st Oct) and it is already booked off with no known destination. I wouldn't, of course, know if there were any unknown known destinations.

Thanks to all for participating again so far. John, as far as I know, the polls only allow a one choice answer. If you know of a better way to do this advice is really welcome! I havn't had much time to keep a check on this. I am plagued with trouble with a nasty browser hijacker that seems near impossible to get rid of. I've downloaded more programs than I can remember to get rid of it to no avail! If anyone has advice would welcome it as I can think of better things to be doing with my time....like photography!

I think I solved it. Went down to the chess club tonight and told my tale of woe. I was advised to dump Internet Explorer and download Mozilla Firefox instead. So far so good. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Mozilla/Firefox isn't afflicted by most IE infestations. You're also far less likely to _pick up_ adware, spyware, or other malware if you avoid IE... Mozilla has had some bugs and exploits, but vastly fewer of them.
