I’m sorry I can’t explain technically what I would suggest as an alternative, but the “levels” just don’t work for me on this as it currently is Fed.

After reading Chris' comment, I saved the image and opened in CS6; sure enough the levels could be adjusted on the lighter side of the curve to bring out more life to this minimal compo ...a bit more contrast wouldn't hurt either; the watermark is also intrusive , who 'd 'borrow' this small JPG? ....cheers ;-)

Thanks to you too Don, I agree with you on adjusting better and also you're right on the watermark (I published the "flight" and I have not had time to remove). Tell me about CS6, many improvements? worth it?

CS6 has many improvements but I don't use them all; the features I use the most are the crop/patch/blur tools which are much improved and easier to use ... upgrading from CS5 would be worth it but buying it w/o upgrade could be expensive ... cheers ;-)
