You're right Charles - when I think of kit lens, I think of the 14-42. I need to get used to the 12-50. I wonder if the 12-50 is as sharp as the old 14-54 on the E-series? It might be an interesting comparison. :-)

QV, since I like to take macros of bugs, flowers, etc., this lens is great. No zoom in the macro mode, but it's not a big problem. I like the results. Cheers
