Trinity Building

Sometimes you've got to look up. For years I passed this building (one of my favorites in NYC) and never noticed the detail higher up. I often wonder why the builders put so much art on buildings so high up that most can't even see to appreciate.

Beautiful details, not my style but beautiful none the less. I doubt today they would be spending that kind of money for ornamentation, unless it's in Vagas.

Agree.. we miss much by not taking time to look up and or down... We saw quite a few building with this decoration on our visits to Europe.. interesting.

I love these old buildings with all their detail, especially the Trinity Building. Actually , there are two of them side by side. I doubt even Vegas would go to all this trouble considering it will at some point down the road get torn down and replaced with something even splashier.

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Ah yes, Europe. There are some fantastic, very rich in detail old buildings to be found there. I'm especially thinking Paris. I never expected to find gargoyles on buildings over here. They strike me more as old world decor.
