Monseigneur d'Arboy was Paris' bishop when he was taken as an hostage during the 'commune' insurection in 1871.

Just before he was shot, his last words were: "Puisse mon sang etre le dernier verse" (could my blood be the last shed). (Lens: MZD 45/1.8)

Thanks, Qvee.. I saw many images of this statue everywhere on the net, with almost the same composition. Perhaps because the POV is the same (limited).

That's why I decided to process it in a different way.

Like a plate from a 50's art book by Thames and Hudson. Very nice. I'm out and about in France at the moment with only an iPad for company, but I'm taking stuff in churches and cathedrals on the EM-5 using ISO 8000 which is looking good.
