classic portrait. would prefer to see a little more texture on bright side of his forehead, measures mid to high 90s which is getting close to white.

... lighting the head

... on the other hand, given the size of the image it probably doesn't give you much room to introduce much gradation on the bright side of the forehead.

The noise's pattern gives that classic feeling for the image. Well suited the subject.

Thanks for you carefully considered comments Clayton. I could move the lighter side of his face further away from white, but I don’t think there’s anything in the way of texture to be gained.

Of course it is Chris, don't the characters bring it to life. This was my first visit, believe it or not, I must go again even if it's just to catch this guy in the print shop, because that's what he actual was/is by trade, a printer.

Did you go to the fish and chip shop? It recently opened and the restaurant room is a site to behold apparently. It uses a restored coal fired fryer with beef dripping to fry the fish and chips. Yum!

That sounds like a "must do" when I take advantage of the "pay once for all year entry" offer.

seems to be the scene of a movie so long ago, he might be Richard Attenborough. Very nice capture Chris

Thanks Fed. Personally he reminded me of Burl Ives.
