used FL-50R w/ umbrella & beauty dish for the lighting. I thought this angle with the wood-colored lamenate background would be a good color blend with the microphone. It's not a product-promo shot, per se, so the actual brand type on the microphone is not in focus. Beautiful sounding mic, btw :)

The POV works for me. Good use of the flash as well. Is it a new, retro-look microphone, or a vintage one?

Nice shot Ramon, very well presented. I am attracted to these Deco styled mics even though I have no personal need for one I think they are very cool looking. I could see a model with 40s style clothing singing into this. There's an idea for you!

Pseudo Vintage

Thanks for the feedback! It's actually a brand new Ribbon Microphone made by Cascade: the Gomez, Michael Joly Edition. As with all ribbon mics, no one uses them w/out a pop filter because they are extremely vulnerable to air pressure. As for us humans, I think we are extremely vulnerable to how cool these microphones look :)
