Reminds me of that pic of the Russian soldiers on top of the Reichstag. Nice spot. It's hard to do Paris and shoot something new.

Hi DV. These are called "love locks". Couples will attach a lock to the bridge and then throw the key into the river. There must have been at least 100 locks around this single statue... and this bridge isn't known for it.

Hi Mike. That's quite a comparison. I assure you that on the day I took this picture Paris in no way looked like Berlin in 1945. I wasn't too happy about the sun's position in this shot. (Afterwards) Thought I had better kept it out of the picture. Thanks for the rating.
