Very nice Rob, very fast trigger there, one second later you might have lost one seagull in the rocks. I also liked the sea sprays TFS :D

Super photo, Rob. The backlight on the spray is really beautiful. The gulls almost look like they were added, like some of your wonderful montages. Not much chance to get that kind of a photo on the Atlantic - maybe in Maine. Well seen and captured. :-)

You really need lots of light for such an image, but you made good use of it. Lovely!

Wow!

Rob. There are few images i see on this website that really make think wow! I am giving this a HOF for you as i love it! the lighting, position of the seagulls and of course the waves. Thanks for sharing. I would be very proud if this were one of mine. Regards,

Thank you everyone!

  • Qvee - I had plenty of time to get the birds where I wanted them! ;-)
  • Clayton, Wolfgang, Klaus, Stanislav - thank you
  • Klaus, Stanislav, Thorin - I tried to find recent imaes of yours to critique but was unsuccessful
  • Shaul - there was plenty of light in some places and not much elsewhere. Shooting RAW gave me some latitude.
  • Doug - what makes the terns look added? (a) Flaws in PP or (b) the fact that such a capture is most unlikely. If (b) I'm OK with that!
  • Thorin - Thank you for the compliment and HoF rating. Lighting is everything.
