This subject really suits your PP technique perfectly, deevee. Terrific image! My eye wants a slightly different crop, though. It feels crowded to the upper left. Perhaps you meant to evoke a feeling of tension?
Fire escapes have always seemed sinister to me... all the moving, crisscrossed metal looks like it was designed to maim, rather than assist. :)
