The lamp looks like a period piece but I am not sure what period. It makes an interesting contrast with the tapestry on the wall.

I don't know the date of the lamp, but it was old when I bought it in 1984/5. If I had to guess, I would say it comes from the 30s to perhaps WWII. Thanks for the comment.

This looks ...

very interesting to me, E. Edwin. I like very much this lamp bowl (actually the white of this bowl) and how all this fits together. The conversion and much more the toning looks to me top notch. All together it is growing to a ten.
