2005 MyFourThirds.com Calendar Available!
Please visit CafePress to order your 2005 MyFourThirds.com Calendar. We believe the calendar will be great as we put a lot of effort into it but as a warning, we have not yet received our personal orders. Once we do, we'll respond to this article stating our thoughts on image and build quality. We simply wanted to give members the time to order before the holiday season and the opportunity to take advantange of CafePress' sale offer on calendars up to November 16th. Enjoy! Congratulations to everyone!

Me too II
The calendar looks nice and I look forward to seeing your pictures on paper. :-)
I would have ordered more than one if I didn't have to pay VAT, import duty and handling fee to the Norwegian bureaucracy (which altogether usually sums up to more than the price of the items bought from abroad). :-(

nice job, guys...
the calendar looks great! i'll be ordering one for myself as soon as i can, the images that were included are all quite special and the photographers who took them should all be very proud. one last thought before i take off, wouldn't it be nice if all of the all of the photographers whose work was included in the calendar be designated as such with a 'win' tag on the MFT site? i mean, even though they didn't all win the highest overall rating, aren't they all winners of that particular competition since they were all included in the calendar? ...just a thought. again, great calendar! i can't wait to see it in person.
best, john

They Arrived!
My calendars arrived today! If anybody wants one, don't hesitate to order one. The quality is not quite as slick as the ones you buy in the store (produced by the thousands), but the quality is very nice. I would be proud to give these away and very happy to hang and use.

We're so jealous!
We must've ordered the calendars a few days before anyone else did, yet Edwin gets them first! Argh! Maybe ours are stuck in customs. :-)
Glad to hear you like the quality Edwin!

Yes, I am close.
Yes, I was surprised how quickly they arrived, but I do live only about 600 miles from whaere they were shipped from. And they did not have to cross an international border either. I think you will be pleased whey they arrive!

Great stuff Edwin
Great stuff Edwin
I can't wait to see the goodies when they arrive in Ireland. They said 10 to 14 days and I think this is working days so that means three weeks. LOL! I want it and I want it now! I'm glad to see your positive comments as one or two will be pressies.

Any more news from anyone?
Any more news from anyone about the much anticipated calenders? Anybody else get any in the old post. Any more effusive praise for this ineluctable feast of the visual??

Finally!
Image Detail - 8/10
Image Colours - 7/10
Text Quality Beneath Image - 4/10
Perhaps our expectations were skewed as the quality of our test image (July) printed on a Canon S900 was nothing short of awesome! Be that as it may, we've each ordered three copies: one for home, work and one to look back on in old age. ;-)
Enjoy!

Arrived today :-)
My calendar arrived today. :-) I agree that the print quality could have been better. Colours do look a bit washed out (but then we seldom get as bright/brilliant colours on print as we do on monitors), but the oddest thing is that it seems like quite a few pictures have got a pink/red colour cast. I think it’s most noticeable on the pictures by Sam Orutsahakij, Edwin, John Stankewitz (Dragon on the Barbie) and Eugene (Blue boat).
I am most disappointed with the pictures by Michael and Jamal. They look very, very much better on my monitor. But I think people who haven’t been fortunate enough to see them on monitors would think they are great pictures with good colours. :-)
The calendar is with no comparison the best calendar I’ve got this year (*lol* I have problems saying no, and buy all charity calendars around). I would have thought so even if I didn’t “know” any of the photographers.
So thanks again to Alan and Mario and all the photographers who submitted pictures for the calendar. :-)

Me2
Yes I too got mine as well. Overall I agree with Alan, Mario, Caroline and Edwin. I'm happy with it and proud to be asociated with it and will confidently and happily give some as presents. Like Caroline I was a bit disappointed with the quality of some of the prints. Some of the colours seemed a bit blocky/j-pegged kind of look. My blue boat shot does have that colour in the water btw :))I thought the front cover should have been a bit more robust/heavier quality of paper. A little bit about the myfourthirds community would have been nice on the back cover but I appreciate that costs were most definitely a factor here as well. Having said all that I think its a clear cut above many calenders that I have seen and thats a totally independent unbiased view :) Well done to Alan and Mario and all who made this possible. It contributes to bringing a nice closure to the end of this year and a possible hint of even better things to come in 2005.

not big enough?
Hi everyone
So I am not the only one slightly disappointed here.. I agree with what you folks are saying here about the picture quality, although what surprised me most was its size. I would have paid twice as much for it - or more - if it had been at least twice as big. Its dimensions were probably published somewhere, but I must have overlooked that.
Maybe next year we take bigger size into consideration and weigh it against cost? Just my suggestion. For me, a photo calendar in it must be big, the bigger the better :-).
Having said all that I am very proud of being part of this idea and still like the result very much!
I wish you all a wonderful Sunday!
Yvonne
