A very different bug shot. The texture in the wings, and the colors you captured (processed) makes it look like very expensive fabric or curtains. And that contrasted against a very interesting and textured background makes for a winning image.

That's a really cool moth image, Nigel. The crop and color scheme give it a strangely creepy or ominous feeling. Certainly not a "typical" nature study image, and that's what I really admire about so many of your photographs. You present your subjects in such novel and effective ways and seem not just to be *documenting* your subjects as much as *presenting* them. BTW, I love those fringes along the edges of the wings!

Thanks Geno! Not too much processing on this one except a bit of dodging around the edges. The colours are close to natural and the background is the siding on my house!
