nice concept and great toning Igor... I miss some detail in the darker parts of the picture.

Great ps work, you did well what you set out to do. My eyes do keep going into the shadows looking to see what might be there, but my eyes wonder. :) Nice pp.

Design

I like the subject, the lighting and the high contrast processing, Igor. They are the technical basics that can make this subject a great photo. But, with respect, I don't see any art in the composition here. It seems haphazard, random. Deciding what to leave in - and out - and how to support that with processing is what could improve it IMHO. All other things being equal (technical quality) I think that lighting and composition is what elevates good photos to greatness. Best wishes.

Rob ...

thanks a lot for your opinion, those cases are arranged random, you are right, and nothing would be interesting without any PP, the reason would be in amount of details on the cases bodies. But! When i take this picture i was attracted by those interesting covers with patterned borders and ear handles. I developed this shot only to show them in proper light/shadow condition, they all create this composition pattern. According to my intention this image should present some special pattern including light/shadow play along with the covers and handles shapes. I tried to frame it in different ways but it was unable to make the view better. I decided that this random placement of cases is a key for understanding exactly this composition. It seemed to me i found the right combination of ingredients..... nevertheless i don't except an ability that there are people with different opinions. :-))

thanks again

best wishes

I like ...

the motiv and the treatment very much, Igor. That looks very convincing to me. About the arrangement: I see Robīs points as well I see yours. And I too coulndīt find another framing here. Perhaps you could have arranged it on location?

However, though a very fascinating picture, best wishes,

Horst ...

thanks for your active participation, about your question, no, i could not, there was not any possibility to be closer to that location and to rearrange them. If there is i doubt i could do it better :-)).

best wishes
