Thank you ...

so much, Pascal :-)) Have made some prints today on heavy paper, just stunning. Looks very nice on the wall.

Best wishes,

Very nice except for the hue/saturation on the stem which looks a tad overdone

Nigel Armes HoF Win ¤1 at 13:47 EST on 2007-Dec-06 [Reply]

I have been afraid ...

Nigel, that you would like to mention the red / mangenta tones. They are slightly overdone. The greens (which are mostly yellow here) are untouched and nearly like as in the original .ORF.

The reds / mangentas are not overdone by intend, it is a result by converting to srgb and reducing to 300kb. It is almost difficult to calculate the differences before converting.

However, the print looks very nice, best wishes,

After ...

some closer looks, the red / mangentas looks too worse to me. So I reworked this part and the sharpness. The greens / yellows are untouched, the stem is as before.

Best wishes,

Goodness, this is great. How on earth did you get the flowers like that to photograph? Beautiful.

Thank you ...

Alistair, for your nice words (smile). You´ve put them simple on a light table.

Stunning Horst. Even better than your last shot. One of the easier decisions to make. 10

Love the 'backlighting' effect, Horst.

Thank you so much ...

adrian, Robert, michael and Grant, glad you like this. The aim here is to preserve the transparency and not to destroy under PPS. Seems it has been successful.

BTW the amount of datas are a lot larger under E-3 as before. Scaling from .TIF to .JPG now about 65% (Before around 85%) And I have to sharpen the .JPG extra after scaling. So for internet the E-1 is more then enough :-)) (Have not talken about printing :-))

Again a utterly fantastic picture Horst. "Technically" I think it is even better than the previous one, but for me this picture is somehow a bit more conventional than the other one (which is why I prefer the other one by a small margin)

so much, Vaggelis, glad you like it.

Thank you too ...

Klaus. Comments must have crisscrossed. I see the points, perhaps #1 is a liitle bit more "morbide"?
