Pump it...
This is the BW version + a close-up of the pumps. The pumps are so nice compared to what we have today. I expect there will be some comments about the dark sky, but I cant help that I like it that way... ;-) Best regards // Ola

Those pumps are alot better looking than any i've seen. as for the sky i like it, was a graduation filter used?
As for overall image, altho these are taken in the same area i dont feel much of a connection, hard to explain.

Both of these are good images in their own right.
I think they would work better together the other way round, ie the close up picture on the left. Then both would lead the eye into the centre whereas as they are they both leasd the eye out of the frame.

i love darker skies and that works for me ; the bright red of the pumps is also seductive !

I second Marton about the order. On the sky i like it as it is i just find the overall contrast rather extreme...

Well Ola, I think the presentation is very good. As most of us scan from left to right, the image takes our eye from a distance on the left depicting another time and era to the centre which brings us to the present with color and life and then away again. (How is that for a philisophical treatise.) I do like the dark sky. I find sometimes converting to b&w the skies do that with the contrast changes required for the conversion. I also find a little playing with sepia and/or colorization gives the clouds more of an ominous feeling which also changes the mood. Really like what you have done with this. Best regards. gss

Honestly, before viewing this I would have fiercely argued that such a presentation cannot work. Two different formats! b/w and color mixed! A close up and an overview (okay for a documenting an insurance claim)! But in fact everything you did to this works marvellously. Klaus

Dark skies with big white clouds seems to be your trademark Ola! I like your skies very much.
Both photos are excellent and I think they are even better together. Very, very well done

Sorry...
I know I havn't been commenting very much lately, but I have been working extremly much for a while now. So during this vacation I decided not to touch the computer...
But it is to bad when I cannot even say THANK YOU for such nice comments and ratings, just like on this one...
So, Thank you all.......two weeks after...
