That is very cool. 10 for creativity. I also love the lighting and the sharpness

Well seen Martin.

I've only ever seen this stuff in orange before and I always wonder what they do with the bits they stamp out of it, because this always feels like the bi-product.

Chris took my words right out of my mouth – I was about to write well seen and that I’ve only seen these in orange before. And I have tried a number of times to make a good picture of the orange ones, but no success. I’m not blaming the orange colour. Would probably struggle just as much if I came across blue. Well – you have made a very decorative picture and seen beauty in a very ordinary subject we don’t associate with art, decoration and beauty, and I just love such pictures! Well done! :-)

Martin:

Very well done.

I too see lots of this stuff in orange. But, I've never seen what you have seen.

Best wishes...

I love this shot, the way it snakes into the distance is excellent and the title is brilliant. I also like the strong diagonal given by the metal post. I have actually seen this in a lilac colour near my house but the blue is much nicer. I'm wondering if you have changed the hue because I can't see this colour serving much purpose as a warning (which I think this stuff is supposed to do. Anyway, whatever the colour I think the whole shot is superb.

From orange to blue.

Jeremy, Chris, Caroline, Joe, dee vee , and adrian, I have always loved the way this material makes amazing patterns when stretched and twisted. So with my night vision sunglasses on I had a look at it again. ;-))LoL This was a calculated experiment so I was really really pleased you all enjoyed it too. What I find interesting is how international this stuff is, makes you wonder who manufactures it. ;-)) Thank you all.

yes, excellent. Reminds a bit of DNA, LOL.

Yes, double helix

I really like this, Martin: the warmth of the dowel against the cool coloured plastic. Would look great if there was more dynamic range in the tones of the plastic, IMO.

DNA all along our roads - there's a thought.

Esmes and Klaus many thanks for the vote of confidence and for signing in.;-)) Klaus, I hadn't thought of the DNA association though it does seem to reproduce itself where ever there's a work going on. Rob, good point about the tonal range I had my eye on mystery element/night feel and forgot the dynamic range. I may revisit the shot to see what's there. As alway much appreciated. Cheers!
