On the west coast of the city one hot summer afternoon; i was attracted by the light shining on the dry tall grass and the slight breeze blowing over it

The silver grass is lovely, and some how I see the rope fence mimicking the dog/leash/person at the peak of the triangle in the compo. Now, it would change the image a bit if the blc were not so light, and I can't decide if it would make it better or worse, but since that crossed my mind I am thinking I might like that with a little less highlight. Very nicely seen. You certainly have a wonderful eye dv.

thanks kathy...i 'm sure i fully follow your comments ? i guess you were referring to the black/shadows?

I don't quite follow Kathy's comments either..

There is detail throughout the picture from high to lower tones. The shadows look fine too.

That is by the by, this is dominated by that light splash and the surrounding composition which empaphasises the passage of time and momentary symmetries.. like the dog's leash and the ropes as Kathy says.

I like the cropped out nature of the walker too. Could be anyone, anywhere.. and as such just enhances the pictures appeal.

Another cracking picture from you DeeVee.

Best wishes- Andy

thanks Andy...Kathy was referring to the patch of light on low left corner, she 'd prefer it darker , she may have reason ...Cheers ;-))

Lovely scene, good backlight on grass and spray of light. Noticed the footsteps in the dirt.

Really nice image, dee vee. As usual, a very pleasing composition. Very fine conversion, too. Classic dee vee... very well done!

a beautiful composition DeeVee. I agree with Kathy on the atractive result of the ropes of the fence synchronized with the leash. The moving grass is very appealing, I can almost feel the breeze... (which is pleasant because were I am now it is pretty hot and breeze-less ;-)) Great picture.

Bit late on this one Dee Vee but I love this composition. A lot of separate parts that add together very well. The grasses are very good and you caught that sparkle and movement beautifully. The person with the dog just adds to that and the line of the ropes leads us right through the image. Very good.
