This is the sky over Kassel, seen today. And it looks just like I wish to see it, just beautiful. And Photoshop is just a poor tool, doesnīt matter for the result. And I have a poor monitor, canīt controll my pictures. Nevertheless I post it.

The discussion is opened.

Horst, you've a good eye for the abstract and a gift for rendering it in interesting ways... I note your cunning use of PS to generate blown highlights here ;-)... or was it poor technique in the first place?

No matter which, I do like it.

Best wishes-

An interesting presentation Horst. It makes me want to see it in a less abstract way as I am apprecative of skies of any kind. I am able to see how you would like it, but I am also able to imagine you snickering in anticipation of a discussion of the blown highlights, the graininess and the artifacts in the clouds in the major window. I salute your posting. well done. gss

I saw a similar view on the back of a black PT Cruiser reflecting a sunset. I almost wanted to pull over the guy so I could shot it. Reflected a sunset with trees on both sides.

Although I have to say that I do not fully get the idea and value of obviously unwanted criticism even though given under the spirit of raising our (MFT's) commitment to quality you definitely had me smile here badly. As for this picture itself I appreciate the idea of it but for me it just a bit too complicated. Klaus

I think this is well seen and a good "slice" of our visual world. But yur statement, "Photoshop is just a poor tool, doesnīt matter for the result" has me confused. I think Photoshop is very good. Yes, there are some technical problems with this presentation, but there is nothing wrong with the photographer's vision here. I like this too.
