St. James' Kirk

St. James' Kirk, circa 17c. Long in ruin and perched on the bend of a side of a steep valley. As a result receives no directional light. Nontheless, an attractive and interesting ruin.

I feel as if I'm watching a B/W horror movie from the 1930s; can almost hear the spooky background music! Love the layers--both the physical ones and the layers of dark and light (nice conversion). The foreground is wonderfully sharp, the background perfectly soft for that eerie effect. I feel as if I want to run away from this place but am compelled by some force (maybe my own masochistic curiosity) to stay and explore further. Lots of interesting photos of ruins and delapidated buildings on MFT lately. I like this one a lot.
