Snowdon from Glyder fach.

This was a hard 10hr scramble. Out of bed at 05:30 to be at Llyn Ogwen at 07:00 to start. Up Tryfan North Ridge, summit tryfan. Down South ridge, breather, up Bristly Ridge, cling on to rock for dear life its 2000ft below. This pic was taken about 6hrs or 7hrs in from the start and from the summit of Glyder Fach. Huge, dominating and impressive. I love Snowdonia. In the distance is Porthmadog bay. You can view Moel Hebog and the summit of Yr Aran. This was my first trip to Glyder Fach (pron: Gludder Vach), the result of glaciation gives it a Martian-like lansdscape, not that evident in this photo. If you can, go there.

none of the names you mentioned ring my bell but this is worth the effort; it seems like you've climbed onto the moon or got lost in death valley ; the light was rather dull on this day, a bit more of peeking sun would have helped w the contrast ...cheers ;-))

I really like the tack-sharp foreground boulders and rocky rubble, and how it compliments the subtle shadows of the background mountains. The sky, though, is disappointing... too plain... which, of course, isn't your fault but merely the weather of the day. Overall, it's a good image. Just wish there'd been more interesting details in the sky.
Regards, Chris
