Very low noise at ISO1600!

I read some disturbing news though at the dpreview site. Phil Askey postponed his review of this camera because the metering was totally off and now he had to wait for a new camera! I also read quit a harsh review at C/Net mainly because of this. I also read that the colours are a bit different (less vivid) .. i am not sure this is because of the new chip!

I am very impressed with those pictures David and thanks for sharing. I also read about those reviews that Arnoud refers to and I guess that there are mixed messages out there at the moment. We will see. Certainly from what I have seen I am very impressed overall with the direction that Oly is taking. I have entertained the idea of buying one of them. They really area a ery discrete walk around city/people/photojournalistic camera in many ways, but, .....

I too have been told by my camera shop that the new E3 will be available this August. Exciting times ahead I think. I have already put my order in. Hope my confidence is not misplaced!

2007-2008 will bring us the next huge leap from FOURTHIRDS system. I won´t be surprised if E-SYSTEM becomes a new standard for professional photography. I mean with professional not only studio but also sports, documentary, etc... I don´t know if the next forthcoming E-X body will be called E-3. Let´s see what happens ;-) Anyway, I think everybody will be amazed of a new way of taking pictures with Olympus cameras.

Not a E-410 subject maby, but as it was mentioned I'll ask anyway....

Anybody got a clue where the new E-(3) will land in pricing? (Approx.)

Estimations anybody?
