Birth of a cookbook 13
After I gave DJ all the TIFF files, he inserted them into his text. And then he sent everything to Kinkos to have the book printed. My responsibility of this little garage project ended here.
He informed me that he'd got the books, and the result was better than what he expected, especially when the budget was so low. I am glad that he is happy about it. This is DJ holding a copy of his cookbook. Update (Jan 15th): This is a quote from DJ: The point of the ninjas and small figures is precisely to distract and demystify cooking. Most cookbooks and chefs take themselves far too seriously leaving many homes without anyone to cook for fear of doing it wrong or badly. My theme in my cookbook was to simplify cooking so more people would do it. The surprise of the figures is supposed to be amusing so that we don't worry so much about getting it 'right'. Its just food after all.
