Beautiful

Drop dead gorgeous image.

I might have cropped a little off the right side and it seems a bit over sharpened, but that's a minor nit pick.

Beautiful image - well done.

Thanks a lot for such positive respons, folks! We went almost all day in dense and winddriven fog, but here a 45 sec glimpse of sunshine flew by, so I surely was in a hurry. In addition fog and moisture immediately frose to hoar on the lens surface, so I had to clear that off as well, but the outcome wasn't that bad after all...

Tom: I don't want to crop here, because I think the ridge disappearing into the grey and foggy shadow adds depth into the composition. And the sharpening might seem heavy at first sight, but I believe that's due to the very "sharp" texture and impression of the hoarfrosted rocks. A closer look at the smoother parts of the picture tells that the sharpening is (at least in my view) almost ideal.

Fernando: According to the description above, I did not have time for more pictures here. But I do have more from these mountains, so I'll post some others later...

I missed this when it was originally posted but I was just commenting on "The King and I" and I thought I would have a peak at your gallery. Wow, this is an awesome site! The ridge disappearing into the fog and the diagonal formed by peaks and the fog are great. The position occupied by your fellow climber works very well. Excellent timing on this capture. I agree with Tom about the slight over-sharpening but there is enough wow in this image for me to rate with a 10.

Thanks Brad! And make no mistake about it - I can assure you that this ridge is an awsome site too! ;-)
