Nice composition, lighting and color. And I also like the nice clean water for this shot. I could look at this for a month. :)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Hi! Thank you for your comments and ratings.

It was my wonderful day at Sentosa Island yesterday. I was the first visitor to Butterfly Park at 9am - see attached link.

http://www.sentosa.com.sg/explore_sentosa/attractions/butterflypark_insectkingdom.html

It has become my monthly affair to be there once in every month. I was shooting a spider web hanging above the water and this tortoise head appeared from water surface - I guess it needed fresh air.

This was an original jpg file. Only resize for uplading to MFT

it was slightly an underexposed soht. need to apply contrast to brighten this image a little bit.

By the way, no butterfly shots taken yesterday as it was heavy raining after that

Cheers,

Milk!

A striking image HHH and one that you obviously set the scene for and practised patience on. Well done. As striking as the turtle's head is, the milky appearance of the surface detracts for me. It looks like the turtle is breaking through a white ceiling. But a great shot to reward your planning.

Thank you, Rob For your different view, I guess it is the effect of fill-in flash on the water surface and its slightly underexposed (setting TTL FP) By the way, it's cystal clear water and it's running

What an image, the white water really frames the turtles head and make the shot unusual to boot. 10!

the colors a absolutely brilliant, I see Rob's point of the milky water, on the other hand it frames the head very nicely and emphasizes the colors.

Coming late to this, but the image is both fun and spectacular. Almost does not look real, but of course we know it is. Wonderful.
