for the attention.
I think the objects are brake shoes from railway cars. They are lying longitudinally on a wooden pallet. The image has been flipped to make them vertical.
I envisioned marching / running people stepping on / over those who fell.
Rex, sorry for the size. In the future, I will downsize.
Horst, I thought of BW and may yet give it a try. But, I was attracted to the color of the rust.
