Michael,

you have a brilliant eye for spotting great architectural shots...your ability to take them well is not so bad either.:-) Outstanding!

I wonder how many cameras were walked past this point during the year before yours. A 10. What more can I say?

What strikes me most is the softness of the light in this one as opposed to the Slab-pics and as opposed if you want to the strong lines and athmosphere of the place. I'm all fan of Lichtstimmungen and this one shows masterful use of that to soften the whole contrasty image without taking anything from its strength. an internal sort of wow :) regards :Doro

thanks, glad u like it

Vaggelis: conscious seeing is everything

Colin: I'm quiet sure (in this case) this image wasn't seen and taken before but maybe I'm wrong. who knows?

Doro: there are several great lightmoods inside the museum. all it takes is to notice them consciously.

Pascal: no conscious 'cold atmosphere' intention by myself (it was quite warm inside :)

single thanks to Steen, Andre, John and Michael

thanks again

John: guess u mean the architect Daniel Libeskind. I saw pictures of the building when it was still empty and wished to take pictures of the unused building. after the museum was installed it lost a bit of the effect I liked to picture IMO. nevertheless its a very interesting construction... a lot of views to discover

Edwin, Tibor, Eugene: LOL. glad it's mine :)

also special thanks to Frank, Horst, Denis and Andy.

This is

the kind of thing that catches my eye, it photographically 'turns me on'!

I tend to see these images as a 2D abstract.

Great.

I'm still not sure how this space works in real life, but I don't want to know. If I knew, some of the mystery of this image would be gone.

This is a really beautiful image. The conversion is superbt. I would give this a 10, but some credit has to go to the architect too.

What happens ...

... if you introduce an organic geometry ? In the shape of vignetting. Looking into this space through a peek hole. I think this can be a fun experiment to debate the viewers position.
