"Helios Guardians" (view 3)
In this shot, I've stepped outside and away from the sculpture to capture a natural form hidden within its abstract shapes. The viewer is meant to recognize the entirety of an animal, perhaps an elephant gazing directly into the lens. Unlike the previous photos in this series, this one was taken using a tripod, the built in flash, and a polarizer. Soon, I'll reveal the complete sculpture.

Ah!
I was looking at this thinking, 'Has Dave manipulated this in PS because the interior doesn't look right?'.
Ah, then I saw you had used flash and I think that has distorted the tonal range of the image, to its detriment.
The concept of using the sculpture as a frame to bring in its environment is good. I find the panel, top right, intrusive into the beautiful curves elsewhere in the image, but then its not your sculpture!
