"Helios Guardians" (View 1)
This is a view from the inside out of "Helios Guardians", a 1968 outdoor sculpture by Michael Bigger. The sculpture was once displayed at the Cincinnati Zoo, but is newly installed at Miami Woods, a city park in Hamilton, Ohio. The installation is so recent, that the rust streaks still flow as they did when the sculpture was layed out prior to assembly. What I find interesting in this view is that the sculpture appears to swallow the greenspace, which is amusing given that the piece was meant to honor a conservationist. Your comments are welcome.

like the composition but had to agree with John about the bleached/muted colors. would like to see it more saturated.

Thank you. . .
. . . for your comments, everyone. You've given me real encouragement.
I appreciate the remarks about the coloring. I've been trying to avoid black and white. I want to use the information color has to offer, yet achieve the mood and look black and white often evokes.
Best Regards, Dave

I like
the composition and the monchrome colours in the steel work. I find the green a distraction in what I see as an abstract.
There must be more images in there!
