Congratulations to all of the "winners"! Especially the only member with multiple inclusions in this year's calendar, Pascal...

...and of course Eugene, Samuel and Ferd for being included in two calendars in a row!

Kudos to all those who were able to get their images in this year's 2006 calendar. They are absolutely stunning photos, but, truly, there were no losers, and it was nice to see so many entrants give it their 'best shot.'

What can I say but "A huge thank you"...

...to all the well wishers and people who voted for "Loners" and its sibling "They come" - which missed the cut but pleased me greatly with its performance just the same. I feel so honoured by the result and equally pleased for all the other members' works that made the cut. Well done X2 to Pascal for two chops at the cherry - both of which were in my 'best 13' if I recall correctly. Congratulations David, Samuel, Tor, Jens, Eugene, fellow Aussie Sean, Thierry, Bevis!, Ferd and Carlos. I'm particularly pleased because "Loners" is a hybrid child and, when I originally posted it, there was evidence that it had been marked down by some members because of its evolution. When I created it I thought it was the best and most personally significant thing I'd done in 30 years to that point. I'm quite the loner, in many ways, and an introvert. Special thanks to psychic Chris Cooke who prompted me to enter it. :-) This has been a great photographic year for me since joining MFT and rediscovering a passion that I had all but abandoned as a serious pursuit. My E-1 changed everything! This is the best thing that has happened for me since I started shooting with Olympus gear in 1974 and that, sincerely, is the biggest rap I can give to MFT and the collective talent in this community. Humbled.

Super Competition

I am thrilled with the winners! Congrats to all of you. I did enter 2 pictures and feel this is all a learning experience. I used the E-300 and honestly went from a point-n-shoot to the E-300! I'm learning and this site is a awesome place to get creative ideas and see all the remarkable work! Thanks for letting me be part of this site. Julie
