Nice colors. His face is bit obscured by the mask, but you could not do anything about that. I might like a somewhat wider focal length (or cropped less, if you cropped it) so I would get a little more of the sense of sport.

thanks for the feedback
i've been taking pictures of my son's lacrosse team and continue to struggle on whether to focus on capturing the face and emotion vs your suggestion of a wider focal length to show more of the game
