storm light

2nd afternoon on a camping trip last week, about an hour from sunset & black storm clouds came over producing fantastic light. What I really wanted in this light was a single tree or an old farmhouse or shed or maybe both, but this was the best I could come up with

Nice light
Steve, this is one of my favourite lighting situations for landscape photography. It seems to particularly suit the Australian landscape: oblique afternoon light and some dark grey storm clouds for a backdrop. Your image has lots of appeal, though some things that disturb my eye: the implied horizon of the waterway's far bank seems tilted; the 'leaning back' perspective effect of tilting a super wide angle lens upward has the dominant gum tree looking like it has an unnatural lean. These problems (IMO) could be mitigated with some PS work. Hope this is useful comment.

Beautiful, just the little tilt is a minus.

Gorgeous colors and wonderful light. A nice composition. It looks slightly tilted to me too.
